O nas

Bilster Berg Drive Resort

Even into the 90s, people searched for this hill near to Bad Driburg, between Kassel and Paderborn, in vain on the maps: for decades it was a restricted military area, where most recently ammunition from NATO was stored. But soon, only the excitement during racing will be explosive.

The entrepreneur Marcus Graf from Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff made his vision of a private test and presentation track for car fans and the automotive industry into a reality. The track was designed by Hermann Tilke, who has previously designed seven Formula 1 race tracks. Therefore, he surely has enough experience to make Bilster Berg compatible with the most modern safety criteria as well. The consultant was none other than racing legend Walter Röhrl – this is also guaranteed to provide thrills even before the start! The investment volume of € 34 million was raised by private investors. Public funds were not used at all. Various exclusive high rise buildings (club house, viewing terraces, lounge, pit lane garages) were designed by the Düsseldorf architecture firm RKW Rhode Kellermann Wawrowski. The high percentages of steel and glass ensure modern architectural lightness, and wonderful views of the exciting track in the hilly landscape. The Seppeler hot dip galvanization at the Rietbergwerke, where sometimes very large components are processed, guarantee that this will stay that way for decades. The steel constructions were carried out by Stahl- und Anlagenbau Welsing GmbH from Borchen.
