Overview of Seppeler Group Expansion

Since 1919 Seppeler has been evolving into a group of companies made up out of works and production plants with strong regional flair and a focus on hot dip galvanizing, coatings, container technology and steel gratings. In the meantime we now have a total of 19 independent companies in Germany, Poland and Switzerland forming a network made up of around 1,600 members of staff.<

THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DATES

  • 1974  The Rietbergwerke take over the limited partnership majority of the company Helling & Neuhaus, founded in 1935
               (Hot dip galvanizing + steel gratings production) in Gütersloh/Germany (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Gütersloh + Seppeler Gütersloh)
  • 1987  Rietbergwerke acquire 40 % share in the hot dip galvanizing company of Picker GmbH & Co. KG in Arnsberg/Germany
  • 1990  Rietbergwerke purchase the Hot Dip Galvanizing company of Paul Heinemann in Osnabrück/Germany (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Osnabrück)
  • 1992  Rietbergwerke purchase thehot dip galvanizing plant in Genthin/Germany (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Genthin)
  • 1993  Rietbergwerke purchase Tell Hot Dip Galvanizing in Hanover/Germany (today:Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Hannover)
  • 1999  Rietbergwerke purchase the Hot Dip Galvanizing Plant (founded 1995) in Bremen/Germany (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Bremen)
  • 2000  The Rietbergwerke build a new hot dip galvanizing plant in Poland; founding of the Ocynkownia Slask in Chrzanow/Poland (today: Seppeler Ocynkownia Slask, Chrzanow)
  • 2002  Participation in the Polish gratings manufacturer Kraty Mostostal in Krakow
  • 2004  Foundation of the Seppeler Holding
  • 2006  Seppeler Holding together with Manfred Rosendahl purchases the Lennestadt Hot Dip Galvanization Plant (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Lennestadt)
  • 2007  Building of the Ocynkownia Slask subsidiary in Kluczbork; inauguration in 2008 (today: Seppeler Ocynkownia Slask, Kluczbork)
  • 2011  Purchase of the Holdorf Hot Dip Galvanization Plant (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Holdorf)
  • 2013  Purchase of a Polish hot dip galvanization plant in Czestochowa (today: Seppeler Ocynkownia Slask, Czestochowa)
  • 2017  Takeover of the Antikor company in Swidnica, Poland (today: Seppeler Ocynkownia Slask, Swidnica)
  • 2020  Purchase of the Thöne Metallwaren GmbH & Co. KG (Hot dip galvanizing plant + steel gratings production) in Salzkotten/Germany (today: Seppeler Salzkotten)
  • 2020  Purchase of the Müritz-Zink GmbH in Waren/Germany (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Waren)
  • 2021 Entry to the Swiss market through the acquisition of the SDL AG (Hot dip galvanizing headquartered in Lotzwil) and the B+P AG  (Coating headquartered in Gettnau)
  • 2022 Purchase of the Lewerken Hot Dip Galvanizing Plant in Delbrück/Germany (today: Seppeler Feuerverzinkung Delbrück)
